MEET
THE CANDIDATES – MAY 14, 2014
Six major organizations are sponsoring a nonpartisan “Candidates Night,” where candidates will share ideas with voters, on Wednesday, May 14, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum Conference Center, 353 East Hanover Ave., Whippany, New Jersey. Seating is limited, requiring participants to reserve their seats by calling 973-820-6121 or emailing israel@schoolchoicenj.org.
The candidates who have agreed to participate include Rich Pezzullo (R) for U.S. Senate-NJ; Murray Sabrin (R) for U.S. Senate-NJ; Rick Van Glahn (R) for House of Representatives, CD-11; Mark Dunec (D) for House of Representatives, CD-11; Brian Murphy (D) for House of Representatives, CD-11; David Larsen (R) for House of Representatives, CD-7; Diane Sare (D) for House of Representatives, CD-5.
Jerry Cantrell, president, Common Sense
Institute of New Jersey, will serve as moderator. The format provides for each
candidate to make a brief opening and closing statement. The public will have
the opportunity to ask questions limited to 30 seconds, with all candidates
permitted a one-minute response to each of the questions.
Sponsors of the event are New Jersey
Taxpayers' Association, New Jersey Family Policy Council, Americans for
Prosperity - New Jersey, Alliance for Free Choice in Education, Veritas
Conservative Alliance and Morris County Tea Party.

Rogers, president, NJ Taxpayers’ Association, spoke for all the sponsors: “We
feel it’s critical for the public to be thoroughly informed of the issues and
to get to know the candidates. A well informed public is the key to better
government.”
