Meet the Candidates - May 14th, 2014

Six major organizations are sponsoring a nonpartisan “Candidates Night,” where candidates will share ideas with voters, on Wednesday, May 14, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum Conference Center, 353 East Hanover Ave., Whippany, New Jersey. The candidates who have agreed to participate include Rich Pezzullo (R) for U.S. Senate-NJ; Murray Sabrin (R) for U.S. Senate-NJ; Rick Van Glahn (R) for House of Representatives, CD-11; Mark Dunec (D) for House of Representatives, CD-11; Brian Murphy (D) for House of Representatives, CD-11; David Larsen (R) for House of Representatives, CD-7; Diane Sare (D) for House of Representatives, CD-5.
Jerry Cantrell, president, Common Sense Institute of New Jersey, will serve as moderator. The format provides for each candidate to make a brief opening and closing statement. The public will have the opportunity to ask questions limited to 30 seconds, with all candidates permitted a one-minute response to each of the questions.
Sponsors of the event are New Jersey Taxpayers' Association, New Jersey Family Policy Council, Americans for Prosperity - New Jersey, Alliance for Free Choice in Education, Veritas Conservative Alliance and Morris County Tea Party.
